Position: Leasing Consultant (Part-time or Full-Time)
Hort Properties is a growing rental housing company located in Coles County, and we are seeking a Leasing Consultant to join our team.
The Leasing Consultant will handle all leasing activities and have the opportunity to work on their own schedule.
Must demonstrate great people skills, excellent communication skills, and strong work ethic.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):
· Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with current and prospective tenants
· Schedule, coordinate, and conduct unit showings with prospective tenants, working flexible hours when required
· Obtain knowledge of entire rental portfolio to provide to aid prospective tenants in selecting the best unit for their needs
· Advertise rental units and update online listings regularly
· Respond to all leads and calls in a timely fashion
· Maintain communication with prospective tenants and assist with the application process
· Prepare standard lease documents and assist tenants with the move-in process
· Operate in compliance with all Fair Housing Laws and other regulations
· Any projects or additional duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Preferred 1+ year experience with sales, leasing, and/or customer service
· Preferred 1+ year experience with AppFolio, Yardi, or similar platforms
· Strong communication and time management skills
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PDF
· Minimum education: High School Diploma
· Access to a reliable automobile, cell phone with calling and texting capabilities, and access to Wi-Fi – REQUIRED
· Must be willing to travel to both Mattoon and Charleston as needed
· Strong work ethic and ability to maintain a flexible schedule as needed

Pay: From $15.
00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
